What is BPC-157 + TB-500?

For research use only. The summary below reflects what has been published in the research literature. It is not medical advice or a guide to human use. BPC-157 + TB-500 is sold strictly for research and analytical purposes.

What is BPC-157 + TB-500?

BPC-157 and TB-500 are two recovery-research peptides supplied together in a pre-filled multi-dose pen. BPC-157 is a stable gastric pentadecapeptide; TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4.

The pair is studied in tissue-repair research through complementary mechanisms: BPC-157 for local repair signalling and angiogenesis, and TB-500 for broader cell migration and remodelling. Research results vary.

Mechanism of action

BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids) derived from a protein in human gastric juice, stable in acid. In the published animal models it promotes angiogenesis through VEGF receptor 2, modulates the nitric oxide system and speeds up collagen organisation at the injury site; its action is described as local, in the damaged tissue.

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, the cell's main G-actin-sequestering protein. Thymosin beta-4 regulates actin polymerisation and with it cell migration, angiogenesis and the inflammatory response; hence its effect is described as systemic and centred on the movement of cells towards the wound.

The combined pen carries the two peptides co-dissolved in equal parts in a single cartridge. The figure on the dial is the dose of each one: 0.25 mg dialled delivers 0.25 mg of BPC-157 and 0.25 mg of TB-500.

What the published research says

  1. 1.
Chang et al., J Appl Physiol, 2011PMID 21030672

In rat Achilles tendon explants, BPC-157 increased tissue outgrowth, cell survival and fibroblast migration, with activation of the FAK-paxillin pathway.

  2. 2.
Chang et al., Molecules, 2014PMID 25415472

BPC-157 increased growth hormone receptor expression in cultured tendon fibroblasts, one of the proposed mechanisms for its effect on tendon repair.

  3. 3.
Sikiric et al., Curr Pharm Des, 2018PMID 29879879

Review by the group that has published most on the compound: it summarises cytoprotection, vascular recruitment and injury healing in rodent models. Almost all the evidence comes from a single laboratory and from animals.

  4. 4.
Malinda et al., J Invest Dermatol, 1999PMID 10469335

Thymosin beta-4 applied topically or intraperitoneally accelerated the closure of skin wounds in rats, with more keratinocyte migration and more collagen.

  5. 5.
Goldstein et al., Trends Mol Med, 2005PMID 16099219

Review of the role of thymosin beta-4 in tissue repair: actin sequestration, cell migration, angiogenesis and reduced inflammation in cornea, skin and heart models.

What side effects does BPC-157 + TB-500 have?

  • Generally described in the research literature as well tolerated at the doses studied.
  • Mild, transient injection-site reactions are the most frequently mentioned effect.

How is BPC-157 + TB-500 dosed?

Both are dosed in equal parts once a day: around 500 mcg of each in the loading phase and 250 mcg of each in maintenance. The dual pen delivers both without any separate mixing.

Storing the pen

Keep the pen between 2 and 8 °C, protected from light and never frozen. Unopened it has a 24-month shelf life; from the first puncture, 12 months. If no fridge is available it keeps for up to 30 days at room temperature, below 30 °C. Let it reach room temperature before giving a dose. The dial sets each dose directly in milligrams: there is no reconstitution, no bacteriostatic water and no volume calculation.

How do you get BPC-157 + TB-500?

Body Pharm's BPC-157 + TB-500 pen is a sealed, HPLC-verified device with a published certificate of analysis (CoA) and discreet delivery in Spain. It is sold exclusively for research purposes.

How much does BPC-157 + TB-500 cost per month?

129 € per dual pen: a single pen covers a typical multi-week recovery research cycle.

How it compares

The two peptides are researched together because they are not interchangeable: BPC-157 works on local repair signalling and angiogenesis, TB-500 on systemic cell migration. What does not exist, as of the last review of this page (October 2026), is a controlled clinical trial in humans that has tested the combination, nor one that has evaluated BPC-157 on its own; the rationale for the stack is mechanistic.

Within the catalogue, GHK-Cu is the other repair peptide: its action centres on the dermal matrix and collagen, not on tendon or muscle.
